Nigeria Head Coach, Audu Adamu, has picked the 12 players that will represent the country at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup taking place in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates between 16th and 22nd of November. Top on the list is veteran performer and ace striker Isiaka Olawale, 26, who plays his club football for Lobi Stars FC in the Nigeria Premier Division. There are also goalkeepers Isa Abdullahi and John Gaadi, defenders Ogbonnaya Okemiri, Jonathan Nsoke and Azeez Abu, midfielders Victor Tale, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu and Babatunde Ariyo, and forwards Timothy Ameh, Gabriel Agu and Suleiman Usman.
Nigeria reached the quarter finals of the 2007 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup finals in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but failed to reach last yearâ€™s finals which took place in Marseille, France after a poor outing at the African Championship in South Africa.
However, the Superâ€“sand Eagles beat all â€“comers to win the continental title for the second time this year in South Africa and will compete in Dubai as the champions of Africa.
