A Chinese exhibitor at the ongoing 2009 Lagos International Trade Fair, Mr Weir Wu, has advised the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to provide adequate infrastructure in subsequent fairs.
He said that electricity and water supply at the venue of the fair  had been irregular since the commencement of the fair. He said that such infrastructure ought to have been provided for about a week to the commencement of the fair.
Wu also complained about traffic bottlenecks, noting that on the first day, motorists paid N1,500 to drive into the fair grounds. He, however, expressed satisfaction with the Nigerian market, saying that the fair particularly enabled exhibitors to meet with many prospective customers.
Wu said that his employer, Lifemate Nigeria Ltd., had consistently participated in the Lagos fair in the last three years. He disclosed that his company would be at the 2010 fair, and that he was happy that many visitors had been calling at its stand in Hall 4. The firm produces kitchen cabinets, furniture, sanitary wares and lightings in Lagos.
