Christopher Enuke is the designer of the Oligo Tissew brand and he reflects the multicultural mix in his designs. Being Nigerian born, English educated and raised in LA gives the designer an eclectic background which is interpreted through his work.
He retains LA cool in his designs while letting a bit of English eccentricity emerge.
He pays passionate attention to detail and fit while reinventing the clothing. Before designing for Oligo Tissew which coined to mean refined cloth, he studied at Otis Parson and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion design.
He has a variety of experience at companies from denim to knitwear which rounded out his education in textile and production. He set up a scholarship fund in his hometown village in Nigeria so that village children can improve their future and the success of the brand enables Christopher also help ensure the salaries of the village school teachers.
He is a sought after talent whose reputation for designs precedes him. He has been featured in Vogue, Elle and many other fashion magazines and his creations have been worn by Hollywood stars and fashionistas like Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Lenny Kravitz and Naomi Campbell.
