2011 : ANPP vows to win Kaduna guber election

By Emeka Mamah

The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) Kaduna State chapter says it will unseat Governor Namadi Sambo in 2011 general election as it has learnt a bitter lesson from its mistakes in the previous elections.

The party said it will also recall all its members serving under Sambo’s administration ahead of its national convention coming up soon in Abuja as it is poised to rejuvinate the party.

Addressing a news conference in Kaduna weekend, the State Secretary of the party, Mr. Kennedy Musa said that the party has been seemingly docile at both the state and federal levels because it(ANPP) was being controlled by those he described as “recycled political leaders of this country”.

Musa said that the ANPP is as strong as the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP),which is the ruling party in the state adding that he once accosted a PDP stalwart in the state and asked him the difference between the two parties, but that the person failed the test as he became dumbfounded.

“We are repackaging, re-branding; we are coming out as a true political party, and we are going back to the basis. What is the true definition of a political party?

“That is what we want to define, and chart the course.”

“I think majority of Nigerians believe that it is about time for change, and ANPP is working hard to meet the aspiration of the masses in

“I see ANPP led administration in Kashim Ibrahim House (Government House), Kaduna come 2011, which is a very clear picture.

“I see a strong and truly democratic party responsibly executing its present function of a virile opposition.”
