Commissioner blames Ohakim’s aides for negetive publicity

OWERRI—Some aides of Imo State Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, have been blamed for generating the bad publicity, which has been trailing the administration lately.

The Commissioner in charge for Health and Human Services in Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Mr. Athan Ogoh, made this observation in a chat with Vanguard in Owerri.

He lamented that some of the Governor’s aides were not helping matters, adding that a number of them were not doing enough to actualise the 14-point agenda of the administration.

“Some of the Governor’s aides are not helping matters at all. They appear to be working at cross purposes with the administration’s 14-point agenda. Such aides have sadly refused to appreciate that their actions or inactions eventually rub off on the administration’s credibility”, Ogoh said.

He was of the opinion that apart from the Governor’s aides, a good number of the bad publicity were orchestrated by those who think they were not getting what they ought to be getting from the government.
