*Rep alleges threat to life; Jimoh Ibrahim campaign office vandalized

Akure—AS the governorship primary Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, draws the curtain on the petitions forwarded to it by three governorship aspirants, one of the aspirant is set to dump the party this week.
This came as the member representing Akoko North East and Akoko North West federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Stephen Olemija has alleged threat to his life for failing to support his kinsman, Olusegun Abraham.
In another development, the campaign office of Mr Jimoh Ibrahim, who emerged factional governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was reportedly vandalized by unknown hoodlums over the weekend.
Olusola Oke to dump APC
Vanguard gathered that three of the aspirants, who petitioned the committee include; Messrs Olusola Oke, Olusegun Abraham and Ajayi Boroffice.
The three aspirants have rejected the result of the primaries, which produced Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, alleging fraud via padding of the delegate list that was used for the election and therefore called for a fresh exercise.
Vanguard further gathered that the three aspirants have appeared before the committee individually, in Abuja last week and their report is expected to be made public this week.
A dependable source said Oke has opened discussions with leaders of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN, in a bid to cross over in the event that the Appeal Committee failed to call for a fresh election.

Meanwhile, as the protest against the Akoko North East lawmaker, Olemija over his support for another aspirant at the detriment of his kinsman, Dr. Olusegun Abraham continued in Ikare, the legislator weekend raised alarm over threat to his life.
The lawmaker said: “They organized youths and women to chant various derogatory songs and words against me at some quarters in Ikare-Akoko.”
Olemija noted that after the primary election was conducted, he and his family members have been receiving strange calls on their phones.
Hoodlums vandalize Jimoh Ibrahim campaign office
In a related development, the campaign office of Mr Jimoh Ibrahim was reportedly vandalized by unknown hoodlums over the weekend.
The spokespersons for Ibrahim and the party disagreed on the attack of the campaign office.
While the Director of Publicity of Jimoh Ibrahim Campaign, Sola Akinuli was silent on the alleged attack of the office, the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Yemi Akintomide fingered supporters of the governorship candidate of the Makarfi faction in the state, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN.
But in a swift reaction, the coordinator of Eyitayo Jegede volunteer Group, Olumide Ogunkua described the allegation as “cheap blackmail” not worth any reasonable reaction from Jegede.
Ogunkua noted that Ibrahim was never a threat to his principal, wondering why PDP supporters would attack another member.
