Just one day after electing the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Amaju Pinnick as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), there are very strong indications that FA chairmen from the Northern part of the country have started plotting against the new president.

Sports Vanguard gathered from an inside source that the chairmen

on returning from Warri, Delta State where a majority of the NFF congress voted for Pinnick met at the Parkview Hotel in Abuja to review the entire exercise.

It was gathered that the group after evaluating the election felt shortchanged because the North did not get both the position of the president and the first vice which went to Barr. Seyi Akinwumi from the South West zone.

The chairmen of 17 states and Abuja that allegedly attended the meeting were said to have agreed to meet again today in Abuja to decide on the next line of action.

According to our source, some of the chairmen were even canvassing the idea of joining forces with the Chris Giwa group should the Federal High Court in Jos, Plateau State which will sit on October 8 nullify the Warri election.

However, the chairman of Sokoto FA who also lost the vice presidential election, Suleiman Muazu was said to have told the chairmen that they should only blame themselves because they decided to vote against the Northern candidates that contested for the two top positions in the NFF.

Only Kogi and Kwara States were absent from the meeting.
