Former Super Eagles captain, Chief Segun Odegbami has insisted that the Super Eagles will perform brilliantly and progress far in the World Cup even as he declined comment on Keshi’s final squad released Monday night.

Odegbami who spoke with Sports Vanguard on telephone said he was yet to sight the complete list. “I cannot react to the list because I am yet to see the full squad,” he said. When this reporter insisted on reading it out to him, the former international said, “it would be unfair to others who had asked for my opinion on this. I am sorry, I can’t comment on Keshi’s list.”

When reminded about his expressed belief in the current Super Eagles squad and how far he hoped the team would go at the World Cup, Odegbami retorted, “of course, I put my money on Nigeria. It is where you put your money that your heart is. It is Nigeria all the way.”
