The Marketing sub-committee of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 18th National Sports Festival tagged Éko 2012’ yesterday at the Protea Hotel Ikeja officially launched the brand for sponsorship.
In her speech to formerly open the brand for patronage from corporate organizations, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State who doubles as chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire said that Games can’t be successful without the partnership of the private sector.

“I want to officially announce to all corporate organizations that the brand ‘Éko 2012’ is now open for sponsorship. The Lagos State Government and its consulting partners for the organization of the games look forward to have official transporter, Bank, Hotel, soft drink, alcohol of the games and many more.
She disclosed that Alliance Auto had already donated 5 vehicles for the games to the LOC and more was expected from them.
Although the official opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics comes up on Friday, July 27, some events will begin today.
