The party says the ruling clears the way for it to resume activities at the headquarters as preparations continue for its national convention and the 2027 general elections.

In a unanimous decision, a three-member panel of the appellate court said it was satisfied that the statutory condition precedents were not met before the convention was held.

The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has unequivocally affirmed the validity of the 2025 Elective Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which produced Dr Kabiru Turaki as the substantive National Chairman of the party.
