Many Nigerians have declared their support for the proposed bills by 35 members of the House of Representatives seeking a single term of six years for the president and state governors

AS Nigeria celebrates Democracy Day, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; African Democratic Congress, ADC, and Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, have urged the people of Edo State to vote for their parties and candidates in the September 21 governorship election.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Alimosho local government of Lagos State, has announced the indefinite suspension of the former state chairman of the party, Mr Segun Adewale, also known as Aeroland, for anti-party atrocities.

“The aforementioned offenses are in flagrant violation of the party’s constitution. Hiving satisfied with the section of the PDP constitution, the executive of Alimosho has no choice but to follow Section 59(1), Subsection D, and pronounced that Mr. Segun Adewale from Ward 10(M1) is here by being suspended indefinitely.”

The Rivers State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dagogo Iboroma, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has explained that the State High Court in the state did not declare that Martin Amaewhule and 26 others are still members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and State House of Assembly, RSHA.

Ahead of the September NEC, the party has slated July 27th for the conduct of ward / delegates congresses to elect ward executives as well as three ad-hoc delegates in 23 out of the 36 states of the country including Abuja.
