The Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo has dismissed the threat by former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris to the effect that the opposition PDP will take over the State in 2015, saying it is “mere wishful thinking”.

The All Progressives, Congress, APC, and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were, yesterday, locked in a verbal combat over the propriety of the Federal Government’s borrowing plan. The face-off follows the administration’s request for legislative approval for its $5.5 billion loan to finance the 2017 budget.

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), the leading opposition political party in Nigeria has scheduled to hold its elective National Convention, between November and December, 2017 to elect officers that will replace the National Caretaker Committee (NCC) and pioneer the affairs of the party ahead of 2019 and beyond.

A CHIEFTAIN and House of Assembly aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in   Ughelli North constituency 1, Barr. Matthew Onojighofia Omonade, has said the party is working assiduously to take over power at the local government level from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,   at the forthcoming January 6th, council polls.

AHEAD of the 2018 Local Government Elections and the 2019 general elections, Over 5,000 All Peoples Congress (APC) members on Saturday in Orogun,  Ughelli North Local Government Area and home of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] with Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa assuring that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will provide level play field for members of other political parties, especially,  members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who return to the PDP.
