Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, yesterday appealed to militants in the region to sheathe their swords, saying the Federal Government was determined to make a significant difference in the region.

THE piece under the above headline by a former commissioner representing Abia State at the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr. Okey Nwaubani made claims that cannot be said to be true.

I HAVE given up on some Lagos folks who can’t understand that this nation,country is founded in iniquity and sustained by injustice.We have been locked in this argument over the years on whether Lagos should be pleading for some special status in a land of systemic inequality or press for what is due to her in a properly federated Nigeria.
