NDDC advocates stronger ties with stakeholders

BENIN—Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr Nsima Ekere, has advocated  a more strategic partnership between the commission and stakeholders in the oil producing communities with a view to effectively fight poverty and other challenges facing the region.

Speaking at a stakeholders Consultative Engagement forum, Ekere said that the collective effort of all was needed to re-energize and re-invigorate the region for sustainable poverty reduction, employment generation, wealth creation and value re-orientation.

Represented by the Commissioner representing Edo State on NDDC board, Saturday Uwuilekhue, said that the management had joined the efforts being made by the Federal Government to bring peace back to the region, adding that the commission will prioritize execution of projects in communities due to the current economic hardship.
