AGENEBODE — IVIUKWE community is one of the communities in Agenebode clan, headquarters of the Wepa Wano Kingdom of Estako East Local Government Area of Edo State. It is an agrarian rural community with majority of its inhabitants being peasant farmers.

BENIN CITY—Vice Chairman of Uhumnwonde Local Government Area, Edo State, Mr Walter Aiwekhoe was, Tuesday, abducted on his way to work by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, but escaped few hours later from where he was kept in the forest.

An Ilorin Magistrates’ court, Monday, remanded a drummer, Bashiru Ishola, for allegedly kidnapping three female children.

Condemnations have continued to trail the demolition of Uncle ‘ P’ Guest House , Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State by agents of the state government led by the Delta State Commissioner of Police , Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba and the Transitional Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Council, Mr. Onoriode Sunday. The facility was demolished for allegedly harbouring a suspected kidnapper.

Civil society organisations in the Niger Delta were yesterday thrown into panic following the alleged kidnap of Alagoa Morris, the Project Officer of Environmental Rights Action (ERA), and another rights activist, Chris Alagoa, on the Atlantic fringe of Odioma in Brass local government area of Bayelsa State.
