This is because there are issues I believe are important for you to clarify and to come clean on. I say this because some of your assertions of late are at best contradictory.

President Buhari’s presidential media chat was hotly anticipated, some have argued that his delivery was a storm in a teapot, I disagree. The president held his own and was very frank in his delivery. I hope that the journalists heed his appeal to do more investigative journalism about important national issues. He is right. Malcolm X once said that; “If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

Then the questions started tumbling out. First, where is the rest of the N400-540bn said to have been scammed? Was the DSS inadvertently or deliberately exaggerating in order to scare justices from granting bail or to terrorise Dasuki and receive public applause?

Nigerians have been riveted by the scandal allegedly involving former National Security Adviser, Mr. Sambo Dasuki, under whose charge, the former President Goodluck Jonathan prosecuted the war against the Boko Haram Insurgency. The current Buhari administration and his All Progressives Congress party, have so far painted the alleged misuse and misappropriation of a $2.1 billion vote for the procurement of Arms by Colonel Dasuki and his cronies as a scandal beyond all historical proportion. But we know that’s a little bit of an exaggeration. Nigeria has seen worse.
