The Nigerian Army on Friday said it had drilled a bore hole in Sambisa Forest to enhance water supply to troops and communities in the area as part of efforts to make the forest habitable.

THE Nigerian Army said yesterday that Abubakar Shekau ,factional leader of Boko Haram terrorists group has fled the Sambisa Forest following its troops’ intense raid in the area to completely dislodge the terrorists.

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday said its troops had rescued 46 captives and destroyed a highly fortified Boko Haram insurgents’ camp deep inside Sambisa forest as part of its ongoing “clearance operation”

A civil society group, Middle Belt Conscience Guard, has reacted to the declaration of operation Ayem Akpatuma, otherwise known as “Operation Cat Race” in Benue, Taraba,and other northern states to end the endless clashes between farmers and herdsmen as well as other related criminal cases in the areas.
