As it is in all countries all over the world, except, perhaps, in a few totalitarian states (if there still exists any), the Nigerian Supreme Court, the highest in the land, is the final forum for appeal in the nation’s adjudicatory system.

We need one another, no matter the ethnic group we belong. The way God designed different parts of the human body to work together is the same way he designed our different states and individuals with different professions, religions, backgrounds to work together and contribute to the well-being of the people and the country as a whole.

IT may be recalled that, sometime in in 2009-10,when some Members of Parliament, MPs in the U.K were discovered to be receiving mortgages for both London homes and residences in their constituent/ homestead, there was outrage by British tax payers and the MPs were compelled to refund the sums of money that had illegally accrued to them.

TODAY, the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi turns 55. Born on July 19, 1961, he remains a man of strong will and gentle speech, of imposing purpose and simple sentiments. His character and politics have continued to please the people. He is genial, witty, unassuming, and endowed with a charm that atones for his errors. Simple and unpretentious in appearance and attire, he has steadily established a reputation for political sanctity and love for our country, Nigeria and its people.

It was Seth Godin who said: “Criticisms come to those who stand out”. This can aptly describe the M. A. Abubakar’s government. Hardly any week goes by without one form of criticism or attack on the governor on the social or print media. On face value, one would think these self-acclaimed preservers of democracy are using their freedom of speech to highlight social ills and canvass strategies that need to be implemented, but no, the reverse is the case; skin deep they only cry wolf.
