The literature on federalism often commence on the somewhat apologetic note that federalism lacks a standard definition

There are far too many reasons to felicitate with my brother and friend Ray Ekpu, a man we fondly  call ‘Brother Ray’ as he turns 70. Perhaps the most important and obvious reason is that he is a journalist. The second reason is that he has lived a life of journalism in a place called Nigeria. Ray’s abiding courage and significant leadership lies in the boldness of the choice he made as and when he made that choice.

In what clearly is a deliberate plot to instill fear in Edo people and residents, some faceless people who do not mean well for the state, have been circulating hate communication materials designed to fuel ethnic disaffection and promote violence in Edo State.

IF you are an ardent follower of politics in Nigeria, you would have heard of the slang; the “Buhari Syndrome”. But if you haven’t, then you may have to dust up your old schoolbag, sandal and uniform to go back to the four walls of a classroom at least of the political nature and texture.

THOSE  who are conversant with the verse  of the Bible quoted supra would remember very vividly what happened and the context in which Jesus made the statement.  But for those who are not, what transpired was that the time that Jesus Christ would be crucified was at hand and it has been written that one man, Judas, a son of perdition, who would fulfill a negative prophecy, would betray him to those who sought to carry out his arrest for the purpose of His trial and crucifixion.
