In an era when agitations for boundary disputes and clamour for autonomous communities and local governments approvals have become engaging demands by peoples of different ethnic formations, attempts to chronicle reliable historical documents to aid authourities responsible for the creation of such institutions become more and more necessary.

Video art was already in practice before the One Minute debut around the end of the last century. Even before the One Minute was formally introduced to Nigeria in 2007, a few artists had grappled with the video technique in various ways.

The Centre for Black African Arts and Civilisation in collaboration with Vertical Inspirations Limited will between 12th and 13th June , 2011 hold an International Conference on Africa’s Indigenous Stimulants,ICAIS.
