The coalition of Imo state All Progressives Congress, APC, known as Allied forces, yesterday applauded Imo citizens for casting their votes against the wish of governor Rochas Okorocha, at the just concluded governorship/House of Assembly elections in the state.

Unless something urgent is done, we may be witnessing more building collapses, as over 1000 buildings in Lagos Island have been allegedly certified distressed.
Mr. Kunle Awobodu, 1st Vice President, Nigerian Institute of Building NIOB, and the immediate past President of Building Collapse Prevention Guild BCPG, while reacting to yesterday’s collapsed building in Ita Faji Street, Lagos Island, said “From our findings which revealed over 1000 structures were distressed, we had also recommended that those structures should be earmarked for demolition in Lagos Island.

Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has accused the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Imo State, Professor Francis Ezeonu of wrecking democracy in the State with the worrisome manner he has handled the Conduct of the 2019 elections in the State, adding that he has shown that he was brought to Imo after the 2015 election to return PDP to Power in the State.

Some Lagos residents on Tuesday urged the governor-elect in the state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and incoming lawmakers to make welfare of the people their priority when they assume office.
