Gani was very lively and had a very pleasant character and I’m not sure he had any dull moment. When we were together, he was always focused.

At his death, our government is both illegitimate and unaccountable. Like a malignant tumour, Maurice Iwu afflicts Nigeria’s electoral system with terminal illegitimacy. For some reason, those who are in a position to lance him affect inability and unwillingness to do so. If Gani were here, he would have trained his legal and campaigning guns at electoral alchemist that Maurice Iwu is.

Oh yes. It has been a gradual process and I shall hold Ibrahim Babangida’s regime accountable. He started this. His regime engineered the incident which happened when I was born. He tried to damage him but you know he was still a young man then.

Can other activists do the same thing.? I’m waiting to see how Nigerian government would immortalise his name. For me, I have my way of going about it and I will discuss it with his family first.
