The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started the collation of the supplementary governorship election results in Bauchi state.

THE Coalition of United Political Parties,CUPP,has hailed Monday’s judgement of the Federal High Court, Abuja,which nullified the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Zamfara State.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Sokoto, led by Justice Tom Yakubu, has set aside the judgement of a Zamfara High Court on the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries that produced the party’s candidates for governorship, National and State Assembly elections.

The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday, gave the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the nod to proceed with the collation and announcing of result of the governorship election that held in Bauchi State on March 9.

There was palpable tension in the bustling city of Kano yesterday, as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Governor Umar Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  winner of the governorship election which was concluded on Saturday. He polled 1,033,695 votes to beat his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP opponent, Alhaji Abba Kabir-Yusuf, who got 1,024,713 votes.

The Benue chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has rejected the outcome of the Governorship election declared on Sunday, in favour of Gov Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has emerged winner of the governorship election in Kano with a margin of 8,982 votes ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

After a tough political fight with his former deputy, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was on Sunday re-elected for a second term in office with the slimmest margin of 342 votes over that of his challenger, Ahmed Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress.

The Sokoto State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday rejected the declaration of Gov. Aminu Tambuwal as winner of the just-concluded governorship election in the state.

The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has won the supplementary election conducted in Kano by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in 28 affected Local Government Areas in Kano on 23rd Saturday March.
