Gates to the General Post Office in Marina, Lagos and other post offices were under lock and key. The News Agency of Nigeria also had its services disrupted as a result of the strike.

The disclosure came even as Vanguard gathered that investigations into the alleged involvement of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in the sharing of millions of dollars of the bribe money, have failed to yield any fruit.

The NAFDAC boss also explained that one of the new strategies adopted by the Agency was to put the power of detecting and reporting incidence of counterfeit medicines in the hands of consumers, using short message service (SMS) based technology like GSM phones.

The sureties, according to the court, must be a resident of Lagos State with a traceable addresses.

Muka told Vanguard in Asaba yesterday afternoon that “all necessary arrangements have already been put in place to ensure hitch-free court session”, adding that “a unit of PMF (Police Mobile Force) personnel has been deployed to ensure the verdict is violence-free”.
