Uneasy calm pervaded the popular Trade Fair Complex along Mile 2-Ojo Road yesterday following protests by some aggrieved traders over what they called. ‘a sham election’ by some members of their union. The traders who were armed with posters and leaves paraded round the market calling on the authorities and security agents to intervene in order to avert trouble in the market.

Yes, the so called schism is there in the PDP but I believe it is a presentation of interests of people inside PDP who presently are not in governance, who are not in elective or

appointive offices but want to get into offices.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos Council in collaboration with members of the Lagos State Police Command and Nigeria Press Council (NPC,) has set up a 14- man Task Force charged with the responsibility of ensuring arrest and prosecution of suspects who parade themselves as journalists without any valid document or place of employment.

In view of the amount of misinformation and lies that are being peddled around about the facts of the case between the EFCC and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode which is presently being heard in the Federal High Court in Lagos, it is important that a few clarifications are made about the facts of the case so that people are not misled.
