ABA- For those who witnessed the kidnapping incidents which swept through Aba, Abia State between 2009 and 2010, it was an experience no one would like to relive. Then Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state became a ghost town as a gang of hoodlums led by the dread Obioma Nwankwo a.k.a ‘Osisikankwu’, laid siege on the city.

The Enugu State Police command has arrested the mastermind of the attack that led to the death of three tricycle operators,popularly known as Keke-Napeb, who were gruesomely murdered in uncompleted building site at Ugwuaji axis of Enugu metropolis last month. He is Nonso Chibuke.

The family of Thomas Eze in Umudiale-Ohom, Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state has been thrown into mourning following the death of their son, Chinedu Eze, 40, a pharmacist, his wife, Chinwenma Eze, 37, and child Chidera Eze aged 3 and a maid who died in a motor accident after a truck rammed into their bus along Lagos-Benin express way at Ufosi, a boundary town between Ondo and Edo states.

A 34-year-old suspect, Ayo Ibikunle, who reportedly swindled the sum of N2.7 million from an octogenarian has revealed that he used the proceed from the fraud to process his travelling document.

It sounds incredible but it really happened. A family went to the home of their in-laws to accord their daughter a befitting burial only for them to lose two other members of their family in the most brutal manner.
