Succour may be in the offing for millions of Nigerian families struggling to have access to affordable cooking fuels as a partnership of key federal government agencies, the private sector and donors have laid out plans to phase out the traditional use of fuel wood in Nigerian homes.

Against the backdrop of massive flooding in some states, the Ondo State Government said it has risen to the occasion and has put in place measures to ensure that incidents of flooding are nipped in the offing.

The alarm has gone off now. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency penultimate week sounded the warning that Nigerians should expect wet spells and floods especially in the Northern states of the country. The warning as contained in the 2012 Seasonal Rainfall Prediction also added that the deluge and the attendant flood will not limit only to the above states.

There is no gainsaying the fact that crime rate particularly burglary is on the increase in Nigeria.
