EKWULUOBIA-MORE than 42 secondary schools in Anambra State have been mobilized by the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, for the fight against fake and counterfeit drugs and food products. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii, said that the students were being mobilised through the NAFDAC Consumer Safety Clubs, NCSC, in secondary schools, “which as a catch them young programme,” was yielding the needed positive results as hundreds of schools had key-in into the programme nationwide.

AWKA- ANAMBRA State has been polio free for the past eight years, but the state government and its agencies are not relenting to ensure that the disease did not return. The programme which has over 700 people in attendance offer free malaria treatment, HIV/AIDs screening, blood pressure test, blood sugar tests, and free insecticide treated mosquito nets.

IT was a day to remember for residents of Ibafon Community, in Olodi-Apapa area of Lagos recently when in partnership with the Total Group in Nigeria, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, as 3,250 residents in 500 households were provided Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets, LLINs, in line with the global recommendations for malaria prevention.
