NETC was engrained into the National Open University of Nigeria. It was now discovered by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) that there are commonalities in their mandates. Open University to deliver education, using the open platform to increase access; and part of NETC’s mandate was to use broadcasting and the media to deliver education. The authorities of the Fountain University, Osogbo have given scholarship to 38 students of the institution for the 2008/2009 academic session.
