Double for trouble
Samson says: “Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet.” (Judges 14:14). This is a kingdom dynamic whose implications should not be lost on any believer in Jesus. Blessed is the man who has been held captive. When the Lord delivers him, he shall become a terror to his terrorist. He shall be given the authority to trouble his trouble.
Cathedral Builders
A prominent Lagos pastor made it compulsory for all members of his church to contribute a minimum of N10,000 each to his church’s multi-billion naira building project. Surely it must have occurred to him that some of his members do not have that kind of money. But he would not be deterred. He was determined that his mustard-seed church must become a tree.
The Palm Tree Of God’s Righteousness
Nicodemus was a bible teacher of the Jews. But when he saw the manifestation of the spirit and power of God in the ministry of Jesus, he started having second thoughts about the value of his degree in theology. He came to Jesus in secret and at night, in order to broaden his knowledge about the kingdom of God from this strange preacher from Nazareth.
Beware of pastors and christians
Paul marveled at the Corinthian church: “You have such admirable tolerance for impostors who rob your freedom, rip you off, steal you blind, put you down- even slap your face.” (2 Corinthians 11:19-20).
The slippery slope of church-marketing
When Jesus multiplied loaves to feed the multitude, many concluded he was just the pastor they needed. As a result, they went to great lengths to relocate to his “church.” Some got into boats and crossed over from the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum in order to see him. But these people were not hungry for God. They came because they wanted bread. They came bringing their own five loaves and two fishes as offering in order that they might be multiplied.
