Umuahia—PRINCE Obioma Eze Ogbulafor, second son of immediate past National Chairman of the ruling, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, has joined the race for Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency of Abia State.

His declaration came barely a week after his uncle, Prince Chidi Ogbuluafor, his father’s younger brother, declared his interest for the same seat.
Obioma said he declared his interest since April and had never withdrawn for his uncle or anybody for that matter.

Unveiling his campaign office, posters and manifestoes yesterday in Umuahia, Eze Ogbulafor said he was waiting for a good time to dedicate his posters to God.

“I am waiting for an auspicious time to dedicate my posters to God before pasting them on the streets.
The insinuation that I have withdrawn from the race for my uncle is false and baseless. I am still in the race like any other aspirant,” he declared.

According to him, “our greatness as a people is predicated on our resolve to put the right people in the right positions at every material time.

“I believe that our hope as a country, indeed, lies in the quality of laws made by the legislature because it is the focal point of our democratic system.”

He emphasized that it was only good laws that would make the country great, adding that such laws would be enacted by responsive and responsible legislators.

He pointed out that his vision was to influence socio-economic change for the people.
