BENIN—ARCH-BISHOP of  Church of God Mission International, Most Reverend Margaret Benson-Idahosa, has tasked President Muhammadu Buhari on the  recent serial killings of innocent  Nigerians by herdsmen in some parts of the country.

She urged the President, as the custodian of the peoples’ mandate, to address security concerns and pursue cases of criminality, including those involving armed bandits in the country to their logical conclusion.

Archbishop Idahosa, in a statement in Benin City, Edo State, yesterday, described the recent abduction and murder of some clergymen, including Reverend Pius Eromosele, as “one too many.”

She condemned the atrocious killings and other violent crimes such as rape, arson, kidnappings and sympathised with the bereaved families of those murdered in cold blood by hoodlums.

She said: “As you are aware, our nation is going through a lot of security challenges and there have been hues and cries about the menace of the rampaging criminals in our communities, villages, riverine areas and all over the nation.

“These enemies of our collective destiny  must be pulled down.  The killings of our pastor is one too many and God has promised to intervene speedily.”
