Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has lined up a collection of speakers for this year Professionals’ forum which is scheduled to hold in Ibadan.

The array of speakers, drawn from within and outside Nigeria include the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Fola Daniel who will be speaking on “State of the Insurance Industry”, during a session that will be fully loaded.

The South African motivational speaker, Alan Heyl will be speaking to the professionals on “The Choice and Decision One Makes in Life”.  This, by extension covers business and professional decisions and the consequences of inaction and procrastination.

Mr. Adegboyega Adepegba, CIIN’s director- general said the choice of the theme: ‘After the Gloom, Matters Arising’ is unmistakably targeted at shifting the attention of insurance professionals in the country from counting the losses which emanated from the global financial crisis, to the more reasonable stance of proffering pragmatic solutions to the gloom of the meltdown.

Adepegba said it had become more expedient for managers, including insurance professionals, to engage in productive rethinking of their management strategies in order to strike the right chords and arrive at the winning formula for keeping their businesses afloat.

Expectedly, the forum theme will engender a wide spectrum of issues which may border on the current bill of health of operating companies as regards solvency, financial disclosures and outstanding premium.
