ABUJA— Ahead of the 2011 general elections, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, Senator Bala Mohammed, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Bayero Nafada, others weekend, drummed support for the presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan for the polls.

Speaking at a rally organised by the people of the North East geo-political zone in Gombe, they urged the people of the zone to support President Goodluck Jonathan if the country must be moved to the next level.

Speaking at the event, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCT, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed said the government of President Jonathan is a continuation of Yar’Adua/Goodluck administration and should be supported to carry on the good work.

The Minister who reiterated that the administration of President Jonathan was a divine one, however, called on the people of the zone to accept and support the will of the Almighty God, just as he warned that anybody who goes against the will of God was doing that at his/her own peril because God has a purpose for putting him there.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Bayero Nafada asked the people of the zone to mobilise and support President Goodluck Jonathan because he has performed creditably well since assumption of office as the Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
