Ndokwa youths oppose Reps’ tenure elongation

By Simon Adewale
Ndokwa National Youths Movement,  has kicked against tenure elongation of  the current lawmakers either serving in the Delta State House or the National Assembly, insisting that such a development would not allow for quality representation, which they said was  lacking in both the state and federal assemblies.
The group insisted  that most of them had spent 11 years as lawmakers, at both the state and federal level, and have nothing to show for it.

President of the group Ambassador Friday Osanbi, said they were not pleased with the way and manner the issue of automatic ticket for the lawmakers was being handled, particularly for those representing the Ndokwa people.

He said that the Ndokwa people have candidates,  who are capable of providing qualitative representation to the area, adding that the bane of Ndokwa development was the lack of quality representation by candidates imposed on them.

Osanbi advised Deltan to ensure that their votes count in 2011, urging them to encourage their leaders so that they will perform . He also urged Deltans in diaspora and in general to support the government of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan for a chance come 2011.
