The Kaduna State Governor, Mr. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa yesterday swore-in his newly appointed commissioners, bringing an end to the long delay in inaugurating the State Executive Council, EXCO, which was dissolved when he took the oath of his office about two months ago.
Addressing the new commissioners shortly after the ceremony which took place at the Kaduna International Trade Fair Complex at Kawo, Yakowa said they were chosen after “wide ranging consultations, diligent search for credible, competent and experienced people which informed our choice out of the many thousands within the state that are equally qualifiedâ€.
The governor therefore asked the new commissioners to live above board as “the torch of leadership is now in your hands and everybody in Kaduna state is eagerly waiting to see how you will discharge the responsibilities that come with it.
“You should be ready to pay any price, meet any hardship and bear any burden to ensure that this administration succeeds in its sworn task of improving the socio_economic life_style of the inhabitants of Kaduna State.
