A toddler has been roasted to death while property worth thousands of naira got burnt following a fire incident at Umunede, Delta State.

Report, said the mother of the baby was frying cassava flour in the kitchen while the father strolled out when the fire started from the room where the baby was sleeping.

According to an eye witness, “The fire incident started from the room where the bay was sleeping alone at about 9.30pm. The little baby was called Miss Jophet  Ejime and all efforts to rescue her were unsuccessful as the baby was believed to have run under the bed when she noticed the fire”
