RayBam ICT Training and Consultancy Institute said it is making thousands of Nigerians computer literates through Information and Communications Technology ‘ICT’ training thereby empowering them to be relevant in the society.
The Managing Director of the Institute, Mr Bamidele Ologun said it was worrisome to know that many Nigerians including graduates and other higher degree holders are still novices in terms of computer operations and usages in this computer age. “So many workers in all sectors of the economy cannot perform their assigned duties with computer. It is really disturbing and disappointing.â€
Speaking with Vanguard CyberLIFF at the Institute’s head office at Akowonjo, Lagos, Mr Ologun said it was because of this ugly scenario that he established a world class ICT training center to give every Nigerian an opportunity to be computer literate at an affordable rate. He said the importance of computer literacy can not be over emphasized as far as Nigerian was concerned.
“We offer opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and ambition in the ever changing academic and Information Technology Environment. We offer practical modules that bring you close to the real life scenarios. So you don’t have to bother about the differences of class rooms and the real world.
“We are not just into IT training. Our mandate is to provide the world with ICT oriented services and results that will stand out among its equals. we want to make Nigerians relevance in this ICT age, and generally, to make a statement in the ICT sectorâ€.
According Mr Bamidele, RayBam was registered in both Nigeria and United Kingdom to award international certificates, which he said would enable the holder to work in organizations like banks, telecom companies among others. “We train you, examine you by authorised Prometric and Pearson Vue test centresâ€.
According to the managing director, RayBam, in its quest to give many people a chance to learn computers, is currently giving 50% discount on any of the professional courses like Networking and Software Engineering, Cisco, Oracle, Accounting Packages, Autocad, Multimedia and Animation, and so many others.
