As part of measures to solve the perennial traffic gridlock along the ever-busy Ikorodu road, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the immediate construction of multiple lay-by to de-congest traffic in Ketu axis of the state.

It will be recalled that the state government, in preparation for the construction of the multiple lay-by and other facilities, recently held a stakeholder’s meeting with Ketu residents to intimate them of government’s plan to begin construction of the multiple lay-by.

Speaking at the event, acting commissioner for transportation, Prince Anofiu Elegushi said the governor approved the construction of multiple lay-by at Ketu Bus stop in order to de-congest traffic on the axis.

According to him, the present administration has embarked on aggressive revamping of the transportation sector which had led to the construction of multiple lay-by at Oworoshoki and other lay-by at Car Wash, Ogudu and Berger, while a slip road was constructed at Estate bus stop.
