Delta inaugurates Garden City Games committee

The Delta State Government has inaugurated the Central organizing Committee (Delta State Chapter) for the 17th National Sports Festival Tagged “Garden City 2010”

Inaugurating the 20 Man Central Organizing Committee which has Mr. Amju Pinnick Chairman of the State Sports Commission as the Chairman, the Deputy Governor of Delta State Prof. Amos Agbe Utuma (SAN) charged the members to strive to retain the number one position which the state has won and successfully defended in the past three editions of the National Biennial Sports Festival.

He reminded the Committee to be Conscious of the fact that other States especially the host State. May equally be desirous of dethroning Delta State and clinch the coveted number one slot at all cost.
He drew the attention of the committee to the arduous task of ensuring  that Delta State achieved the objective defending the title at the games.

Responding, the Chairman of the central organizing Committee Mr. Amaju Pinnick, thanked the Delta State Governor Dr. Emmanuel Udugahn for graciously approving the constitution of the Committee, which he said he said is very timely.

He promised, un-behalf of the committee to put in all their best in ensuring that Delta State emerge tops at the Garden City Games.

Members of the Committee include the Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission, Sir, Eric Obiazi (Vice Chairman).

Elder Eddington Kuejubola, Hon Ejiro Etoroma and Hon Gabriel Okpuno all members of the Delta State Commission Board as members of the Committee.

Other members include the representative of te secretary to the State Government, Commissioner of Police, Commissioner of France and that of Economic Planning and Directors of the Commission.
