Founder of Lutful-lahi International, Sheikh AbdulMalik Robiu Adebayo has charged leaders at various levels of governance to show piety in their daily activities, adding that the fear of God and dispensation of justice on all issues would reduce the rate of corruption and enthrone development.

The renowned cleric stated this during a special prayer/asalatu to mark his 81st birthday, held at Oworonshoki, Lagos, headquarters of the organisation recently.

“Our leaders at all levels must show fear of God, it is the absence of piety in the leaders that is responsible for the shortcomings we are experiencing today. If they all act with the fear God, we will not be where we are today.

Sheikh Adebayo however called for prayers for the leader just as he charged other religious leaders, islamic organisation to always pray for the development of the country.

Highpoint of the event was goodwill messages and prayers for the renowned cleric.  The Chief Executive Officer, Starco Insurance, Alhaji Shakirudeen Oyefeso described the celebrant as a father to all his followers, adding “his life is just like a book a lot of people read everyday.” Other dignitaries at the event were Prof. Ganiu One, Engr Gbolahan Awonusi, Barr. Hafiz Egbeyemi, Alhaji Ganiu Alimson, Alh Bode Salam, Alh Segun Balogun, Barr Kareem Bakare, Alhja Muyibat Oyefeso among others.
