Towards achieving the stated objec-tive of delivering the 2nd CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to open December 13 at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, as the best ever held, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).

At the signature ceremony held at the secretariat of the LOC, Eko Football House, Onikan Lagos, on Thursday afternoon, chairman of the LOC, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, and President of SWAN, Honour Sirawoo, noted that the interface was a landmark event in institutional relations for the good of the game.

The agreement entails the guarantee by the LOC of adequate and functional facilities for media and publicity operations while SWAN is to ensure maximum publicity with accurate and real time reporting of the event to both local and international audience.

“We want the event to be world class and one of the ways to achieve that is through the media, how the event is packaged and communicated.
