Former Sultan, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki

Nasrul-Lahi L Fatih Society, NASFAT, has described the late former Sultan, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki who died recently at the age of 93 as a man of honour, a patriot and a leader who stood for justice.

NASFAT said Dasuki’s death was no doubt a big loss to the entire ummah, the Sokoto caliphate and particularly his immediate family.

In a statement sent to Vanguard, the group said: “We sincerely console and commiserate with the Sultan and the President General, Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Mohammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sokoto State Governor, Alh. Aminu Tambuwal, the people Sokoto State and more importantly his immediate family over this irreparable loss.

“We are however consoled by his immense contributions to Islam and mankind. The late Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki will also be remembered for his steadfastness and absolute faith in Allah even in the face of severe adversity.

“We pray almighty Allah to comfort the entire ummah, the Sultan, Dr. Mohammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the state governor Alh Aminu Tambuwwal, the sokoto caliphate and the deceased immediate family and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss while we pray Allah to forgive his sins and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaos. Amin,” NASFAT said.
