FORMER President,   Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, wife of Ogun state governor,   Funsho Amosun,   former Speaker of House of Representatives,   Dimeji Bankole and prominent traditional rulers in the state have indicated interest to grace the 10th   year anniversary of     D.   S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic,   Itori Abeokuta with the planting of over 300 trees within the Polytechnic.

The Rector of the   Ogun State-Polytechnic,   D.   S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic,   Itori Abeokuta , Dr. Alfred   Fatade disclosed this while unveiling the programmes lined up for the anniversary of the institution that was founded in 1996.

The Rector who said apart from Obasanjo, Bankole and prominent traditional rulers who include the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland,   Oba Dr. Adedotun Gbadebo,   other prominent personalities that would feature in the anniversary such as former Chairman of Interim National Government,   Chief Ernest Shonekan.

Dr. Fatade who was flanked by management team of the institution who include; the School Bursar   Olalekan Orobiyi ,Dean,   school of management Sciences,   Dr. Femi Kayode and Chairman,   Parents forum,   Amona Tajudeen Oladeinde   said not less than ten thousand trees would be planted to commemorate the anniversary.

He however, said the planting of the trees which would be done by some of the prominent personalities was to contribute to the efforts at combating climate change.

The anniversary,   according to the Rector woudmne be feature cultural night and exhibition of some projects and discoveries the students of the institution had made.
