ABUJA- SENATE leader Ali Ndume, APC, Borno South Tuesday led other Senators to felicitate with some ‘very important inmates’ at the cell of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Also with him on the visit were former Senate Leader, Senator Teslin Folarin; Senate Minority Whip, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, PDP, FCT; Senator Ali Wakil, APC, Bauchi South and Senator Isa Misau, APC, Bauchi Central.

Fani- Kayode, Abati and Obanikoro

The Senators were at the EFCC to visit former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, Senator Bala Mohammed, former Spokesperson to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode; minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and a former Presidential spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati.

The visit came barely two days after the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Revered Father Matthew Hassan Kukah, on Monday visited them at the EFCC cell.

A source told Vanguard that the Senators who were at the EFCC to see Bala Mohammed, Fani- Kayode and others arrived there at past 6pm.

According to the source, the Senators gave the accused words of encouragement, solidarity, just as they expressed concern and worry over what the detained persons were going through in the hands of the officials of the EFCC.

The source said that the visitors were however happy with the state they met the persons, urging them to have confidence in God.
