WARRI – THE Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwole has again warned his youth subjects against acceding to a parallel Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, outside the Esimaje Awani led leadership which has gained his blessing.

The Warri monarch reiterated the warning Saturday when he conferred more honorary chieftaincy titles on four subjects at his palace in Warri, Delta state.

Ogiame Ikenwole said, “Itsekiri youths must desist from setting further confusion over their leadership in the kingdom. The INYC headed by Esimaje Awani is the authentic leadership known to me and the Warri kingdom.

“I have warned that the era of factional leadership is over and I expect you all to respect that wish. Anyone still parading factions or aggrieved should come up to be accommodated in the Esimaje leadership. Those creating factions are warned to desist.”

The quarter conferred with traditional titles by the Olu yesterday include, Warri North Council boss, Chief Francis Maku who became Ikenlorire of Warri, Chief Luck Ereku (Atestin Olu of Warri), Chief Mike Odeli (Olorogun of Warri) and Chief Alex Omaghomi.
