The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Wednesday, warns that no voter should be accompanied by armed escorts to the Polling Unit at Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State.

INEC made the declaration on its official Twitter account, @inecnigeria, however, sated that Police orderlies may accompany high profile voters but must never bear arms.

“No voter entitled to security protection should be accompanied by armed escorts to the Polling Unit on election day”- INEC Chair.
