Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Sunny Onuesoke has declared that nobody should link Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa with activities of political thuggery as being peddled by members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Onuesoke who was reacting to allegations levelled against Okowa which include hiring and training of thugs for Edo State PDP towards the upcoming Edo State governorship election said it was disappointing that APC is making irresponsible, unsubstantiated and wild allegations against the gentle, peace-loving and very educated Governor of Delta state.
Speaking to journalists in Benin-City,Edo State during a courtesy call on the Edo State PDP Secretariat, he argued that there was no truth in the different allegations levelled against Okowa by APC loyalists, with respect to the coming Edo State Governorship election. He added that the action of APC actually tells more of the apprehension APC and Governor Adams Oshiomole are feeling as their inevitable rejection and defeat stare them in their faces.
“APC should deliver on their campaign promises and stop attacking and making unfounded insinuations against PDP governors. Already the economy is in a bad shape with high inflation rate, unemployment, crimes and other vices. All they are interested in is to attack Okowa who is a peace-loving and hard-working governor”, he fumed.
He observed that despite the tales by moonlight and cacophony of incipient hate by members of APC, Okowa has tackled Delta’s problem with stoic strength in one year, stressing that he would definitely build a virile and sustainable Delta state in the nearest future.
