LAGOS—A group has called on the Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan not to be swayed by the activities of certain individuals, who are bent on destabilizing the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by removing Prince Vincent Ogbulafor from office as the party’s national chairman.
The call was made by Ozuruigbo, a pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, in a statement by its national President-General, Dr Batos Mwadike. The group advised the Acting President to stick with the winning team in the party’s leadership and avoid taking actions that could affect PDP’s stability.
The group praised Prince Ogbulafor’s leadership of the party and described him as a man who had shown charisma, courage and statesmanship in running the affairs of the party.
According to the group, “we are aware that those who claim to be in-laws, high school mates, comrades-governor to the Acting President and those who go around making unsubstantiated allegations and corruption charges against a just man are on the prowl, plying their satanic trade.”
