Harrison Chinedu who holds the world record of walking the longest distance of 48.04 kilometres in 6 hours,15 minutes with a ball on his head, has said he has already started working on how to beat his own record.

The Cambodia based Nigerian footballer, walked a total distance of 48.04 kilometres in 6 hours,15 minutes to beat the record formerly held by Indian soldier Naib Singh who walked a total distance of 45.64km in his country in 2014. Chinedu’s feat attained Sunday, March 6, has attracted a lot of global attention and suitors are already falling heads over heels to identify with him.

Speaking at the National Stadium, Lagos Tuesday, Chinedu said the achievement was testimony to his strong belief in his his innate powers. “My biggest motivation was that I believe in showcasing my God-given talent. I know I have the skill and I want to show the world what I can do,” he said.

Continuing, the Cambodian-based footballer said, “I want to continue working hard because I have already started working on how to break my own record. I want to remain the best in the world.”

Explaining how the record breaking feat was attained, President of the Rafiu Ladipo Sports Foundation, the organisation that sponsored Harrison Chinedu, Dr Rafiu Ladipo stated that he observed the lad and was convinced of his abilities before agreeing to support his cause. “I take interest in anything sports and uppermost on my mind is to make him become a real man and change his life forever,” Ladipo said, adding, “his life can never be the same again.”
